Image
New Years Eve at Grandma and Grandpa House this year. Alyssa had brought her Wii over to the house that she got for christmas. Aunt Jasmine played bowling against Alyssa and lost. Aunt Jasmine was determined to beat Alyssa and become pdro by midnight. Alyssa also beat Uncle Amara. Alexis, Ryan, and Kaylee played and acted silly. It was hard trying to stay up until midnight, but we made it. For the countdown, we watched the New York's Time Square countdown and once that clock hit 12, we cheered for 5 minutes say so and we were all knocked out. We decided to end the night early bec ause the next day, we all decided to go to Mt. Baldy.

CHRISTMAS MORNING

Santa brought Alyssa and Alexis all the gifts they had wish for. This year Alyssa was very good she has A's in all her classes and is doing very good in basketball. She is always going above in anything she does. Alyssa is always so helpful and playful with her sister. We are always so proud of her. For her hard work this year, Santa brought her many wonderful gifts which include a pearl necklace, an IPod Nano, and a Nintendo Wii system. These wonderful gifts were so overwhelming for Alyssa, that it brought tears of joy. Santa had also brought what Alexis wanted this Christmas. All of us are so proud of Alexis because she goes potty in the toilet. She is also always so playful and active. Alexis received many wonderful gifts as well. She got many books, clothes, and toys. Her most favorite gift of all, was a camera and a princess castle that is as big as her. Santa also brought a nice size LCD TV screen for Mom and Dad. We all thought this was the best Christmas ever!

Christine’s Christmas Eve Party

It was that time of the year where the family comes to gather and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Christine made a rib eye roast it was so good. Kim Mai Ly made her famous purple pink potato salad and the log cake. We all got together and sang Christmas carols. Makayla was singing us her favorite song, “Away in a Manger”; she is so cute and not shy at all. This year we did secret Santa for all the adults. It was so easy all we had to do was get gift for the kids. This year, Jenny bought Makayla and Alexis a vacuum. It was a hit, the girls loved it! It was nice to see our cousin Theodore, because he can only come on holidays since he moved to UC Berkley. We had so much f un with our family and seeing all the kids playing.

Alyssa's 3RD NJB GAME

Image
Today is the Comets 3rd game of the season. Alyssa had a special treat as Alex was filling in as the coach today. Uh ohhh......will he take it easy on Alyssa, or will he go extra hard on her??? Since the get go the line up looked like a mismatched as the other team had several players that were taller than the Comets tallest player. Regardless, the girls were not intimidated at all and were ready to take care of business as usual. In all this was a defensive battle from the begining to the end. The Comets were trailing 10 to 11 entering the final quarter. Alex had to put in his best five girls for the last quarter and the end result was a victory. The Comets played superb defense as they outscored their oponent 8 to 0 making the final score 18-11. Again Alyssa shine as usual dropping in 7 points on the offensive end, and making 4 steals on the defensive end. This was also Alex's first victory as a coach. He said that he will retire and remain undefeated as a coach.

Stacy's Christmas Party with Santa

Stacy’s first Christmas dinner at her new house was a night to remember. She was so kind to prepare our dinner. She made prime ribs, mash potatoes, stuffing and veggies, it was so delicious. Stacy is the best. Christine brought a very pretty chocolate cake, it was so good! That night, the tree fell, so we all helped to redecorate the tree. It was a very special night for the kids because Mr. and Mrs. Clause had came to town that night with gifts for all the kids; everyone got a Tinkerbell Blu-ray DVD. They read a Christmas story and Santa had a big red book that tells all about the kids. The kids were so thrilled and excited to see what Santa knew about them. We were able to take a nice family picture with Mr. and Mrs. Clause. It was so nice to have our very own Santa at the house. We exchanged our gifts and all the kids got to open their gifts and one thing all the little girls got was a princess coloring set. It was a very fun and remarkable night!

Alyssa second NJB game

Today was Alyssa second NJB game against one of four Newport Beach teams. Alyssa had to guard the other team’s best player whom was at least 4inch to 5inches taller than her. Of course Alyssa defense was superb as she held the other team best player to minimal points. Alyssa racked in 7 points 6 steel and one block shot this game. Although it was a great game they fell short by one point losing in double overtime 21 to 20. It was a heart breaking loss for the team but it only makes them stronger now they are 1-1.
